In 2009, we developed the second generation. Then the Korean group decided to give all models names instead of numerical indexes, that’s why the crossover was renamed to ix35. But that was not all. They completely redesigned the exterior shape of the car in accordance with a brand new design concept that was called "Flowing line".
At the same time the engines were modernized. The 2.0-liter power gasoline motor increased to 149,6 HP (191 Nm at 6200 rpm), while the second version was the diesel engine of the same volume capacity, depending on the degree of force had 136 and 184 HP.
